Thanksgiving at Little Tail Farms

A quiet kind of gratitude settles over the farm at this time of year. The mornings come cool and gentle, the kind where you can see your breath drift across a pasture still brushed with dawn. Our animals move slow, noses down in dew-kissed grass, and the farm feels almost like it’s taking a deep breath right alongside us.

This season always nudges us to look back at the year, and what rises first is simple thanks. To every family who wandered our paths. To every couple who tucked into the Highland Cottage for a cozy retreat. To every child who met a goat for the first time and giggled in that way only children can. You’ve made this place feel alive in ways we could never create on our own.

We built Little Tail Farms with a hope that it could be more than a pretty view. We wanted it to be a gathering place, a place where stories were shared, where memories lingered long after muddy boots were kicked off at the door. This year, you helped us live that dream. You showed up with curiosity, kindness, and a sense of wonder that made even the everyday chores feel like something special.

We’re grateful for our small community here on the mountain and for the wider one that has grown far beyond the fences. Whether you visited for a farm tour, stayed the night, booked a photo session, or simply followed along from afar, you’ve become part of our story. You remind us that connection matters. You remind us why we keep tending, building, and believing in this little place.
