A Little Farm, A Big Moment

  • Apr 1
  • 2 min read

Out here on the mountain, life moves a bit slower. Mornings start with soft nickers from the barn, coffee in hand, and dew still clinging to the pasture grass. It’s simple. It’s honest. And it’s exactly what we’ve always hoped to share.

Today, we get to share something extra special.

Little Tail Farms has been selected for the TVFCU Idea Leap Grant, and it feels like one of those moments you pause for. The kind you take in, standing still for just a second longer.

Why This Matters

This farm has grown one small step at a time. A fence line here. A new pasture there. A tiny cottage tucked just right so guests can wake up to the sounds of the barn.

What started as a dream has slowly become a place where people come to breathe deeper, slow down, and make memories that stick.

We’ve watched:

  • Kids run barefoot through the grass, laughing with the goats close behind

  • Couples sit quietly under the stars, wrapped in blankets and conversation

  • Families gather, unplugged, together in a way that feels rare these days

This opportunity helps us keep building that.

Not bigger for the sake of being bigger.Better. More intentional. More meaningful.

What Your Vote Supports

If selected, this grant helps us continue shaping Little Tail Farms into something truly special.

Think:

  • More cozy spaces to gather and linger

  • Even better hands-on farm experiences

  • Thoughtful touches that make every stay feel tucked away and made for memory

It’s about preserving what makes this place feel like a storybook, while making room for more people to step into it.

A Small Ask, From Our Farm to You

If you’ve ever visited, followed along, or simply cheered us on from afar, this is your moment to be part of the story.

Voting is open now through April 3 at 5 PM EST, and it takes just a minute.

And if you’ve already voted, thank you. Truly. Sharing this with a friend or two helps more than you know.

Not Just a Stay, A Story

We’ve always believed this place is more than a farm stay. It’s early mornings, golden evenings, and quiet moments you carry home with you.

However this turns out, we’re grateful. For every guest, every kind message, every bit of support along the way.

We’re just getting started.
