Do you have miniature or micro Highland cattle?
No. We raise only standard-size, purebred Scottish Highland cattle. Highlands are naturally smaller than many other beef breeds, which sometimes leads to confusion, but we do not breed or sell miniature or micro lines.
Are Highland cattle friendly?
Yes, they are known for their calm temperament, though they are still large animals and require space.
How big do Highland cattle get?
Cows average 900 to 1,300 pounds. Bulls average 1,500 to 1,800 pounds.
Can guests take photos with Highland cattle?
Guests may take photos from safe viewing areas during tours or at their leisure when staying on the property.
Why do Highland cattle have long hair?
Their double coat protects them from wind, rain, and cold weather.
Are Highland cattle good for small farms?
Yes, their calm nature and grazing efficiency make them a good choice for small-scale operations.
